Especially for the kids, there are usually special things arranged for school holiday at any local places such as:
- Quex Museum.
- The Hornby Visitor Centre has make and paint sessions through school holidays.
After a couple of years in Margate there was no Lesbian & Gay Pride in 2011, and there might NOT be one this year either - www.thanetpride.co.uk
In 2012 Margate’s Big Event will not take place, normal service expected to resume in 2013.
And more…
In previous years there have been many other thing such as flying kites on Margate beach and Quad biking at Ramsgate along with weekend events to bring out the crouds.
Last year we enjoyed Quad bike racing on Margate beach on 12th & 13th March 2011
I hope to confirm more dates here as the summer approaches.
In 2011 as well as many other walking tours, the usual routes around St Peters village and Ramsgate… there were walks around Margate Cemery some Wednesdays evenings at 7pm June -Aug, seems an unlikely way to pass the time. On the first Sat of the Month at 10 am there was a tour of St. Laurence-in-Thanet Churchyard.
