The cost of car parking or just the lack of car parking in Ramsgate might be a reason - but I really don't know...
I would have thought lots of people live within walking distance...

And with the price of petrol - who wants to drive far anyway?

I get the feeling that the blame is being placed on the cost of car parking. But being carless this is something I would know little about.

I do plenty of silly things myself - so I really can't just poke fun at others - we all make mistakes.

Yes it would be easy to write a blog about the amazing things customers or other plumbers do - I have written previous blogs about the strange ansaphone messages that are left.

However, the vast majority of people are fair sensible most of the time! Thank goodness.

Similar advice goes for computers and cars too. I'm fully behind you on the not fixing someone else's work. When it comes to PCs (something I'm loath to work on being a software man by trade) you will be amazed at the number of interesting and silly things people manage to do... actually you're int he plumbing business so maybe the depth of bizarreness is not news to you.

PS - saw your advert int he paper.

The quotes that we have have varied in price greatly. The dearest being double the cost of the cheapest!
As I have said in previous blogs about our own work - be wary about the cheapest and make sure you are comparing like with like.
We have had quotes for slightly different designs which could account for about £1,000 difference in price.
We also need to examine the quality of the materials used by the different companies and the small print - the guarantees.

It was pointed out to us that the UPVc content of the plastic could be anything from 25% to 75% - apparently this is important.

What we housewives all know is that we want good quality handles - that are made to last after actually being used to open and shut door and windows.

I think you raise some valid points. It's difficult to compare the overall cost of a conservatory compared to a traditional extension, as there are so many variables in the standard either type of building are made from.

Underfloor heating is a must. All the best with it.

I just thought - if this nude cycling becomes more popular I can see a market for a new product - a machine washable saddle cover - a bit like a tea cosy.
Perhaps they already exist.
Perhaps they will be featured on Dragons Den...

I'm both a keen cyclist & a naturist, but I can't say that the idea of combining the two appeals to me too much (naked walking is nice though!). Oh, I'm also a strict veggie (though not a vegan).
