What a lovely couple we make.  I live with Mr Tara Plumbing and we live in Ramsgate with our son.

We have  managed to nurture a lovely child to school age. Our greatest achievement together!

 Is this really me?

Mr Tara Plumbing is not just a plumber.  He is in the business of entire house and garden make-overs / renovation.  Most of Mr Tara Plumbing’s work is gas central heating, replacing boilers, or bathrooms.  The majority of work is local, in Thanet, but we do work all over Kent.  I say “we”, I don’t actually get my hands dirty, but I manage the back office operation (otherwise known as opening the post, answering the calls and adding up the bills!).

He is a pedantic perfectionist and passionate about his work and other things (including football, his children, me!…).

As for me - you’ll get to know me better through my blog.

I hope to entertain you, make you laugh, make you stop and think!

Judging by the books on my shelves my main interests are: science, maths, Harry Potter, sex & relationships (or even sex without a relationship!), toilets, vegan diet, food & nutrition, travel, geography, sociology, history, comedy, art…. so most things really, just not sport.

As I approach 40 I am becoming a grumpy old woman who can’t stand bad manners. I find so many people are rude and ignorant these days.  I’m annoyed by people dropping litter.

I am not perfect, I make mistakes and have errors of judgement too.  If you have to point it one out to me, please be gentle, I hate to be wrong!

AND

So, what you might want to know about Tara Plumbing:

  • Tara install bathrooms and kitchens and new gas central heating systems in the area of Ramsgate, Margate, Broadstairs and further afield in East Kent - Sandwich, Deal, Canterbury, Whistable, Herne Bay, etc.
  • Replace / install boilers but not gas fires.
  • Also attend to smaller plumbing problems in the Thanet area, but do not offer an emergency plumbing call out service.
  • Employ all tradesmen including carpenter, electrician, plasterer and bricklayer.  Therefore, can renovate the whole house, not just the bathroom.

Hi I was disappointed to read you referring to our cinema as “Tiny” perhaps you have not been inside. We feel statements like this are detrimental, so would appreciate you revising it. For information , we have 111 seats on two levels . The outside view of the building is actually the balcony level, and the stalls are below street level. Many multiplex screens are less capacity to this in individual screens. Please visit us at some time , and we would be glad to show you…………regards ……..Sean

    “Thanet Under Threat” the Film
We have two more screenings planned at the Palace cinema, Harbour St, Broadstairs, Saturday 8th December at 12 noon and Sunday 9th December at 5pm.

We are also holding a public meeting on the 13th December at The Red Hall, 11 Grosvenor Rd, Broadstairs at 7.30, hosted by Friends of the Earth.

You are very welcome to attend all of these, if you wish.

Our concern is to preserve the good things that we have in Thanet and help to improve the lot of the worst off in the area, and I do not see how massive building projects can achieve this.

    …. edited for personal details….
    Best wishes

I have emailed Christine Tongue directly.
I am unable to take on any more commitments in December but would be happy to make some input next year.
